After graduating from Murdoch University in 1996, Dr Kasey Tan returned to Singapore and began his career with Mount Pleasant Veterinary Group. An advocate in life-long education, he enjoys attending conferences, seminars and courses to enhance his skills and knowledge. Through the years, Dr Kasey developed a strong interest in Surgery, Dermatology, Dentistry, Geriatric Care, Nutrition/Dietary Therapy and Preventative medicine. He also eschews the benefits of nutrition and nutraceuticals in disease prevention, and is a firm believer in the adage, ‘An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure’.
When he observed that more pets are afflicted with chronic diseases and the deficiency of conventional medicine in managing them, Dr Kasey went on to pursue a Certification Course in Veterinary Chinese Herbal Medicine in 2012 and Veterinary Acupuncture in 2017, both certified by IVAS. He has since been offering the best of Western and Chinese therapeutics to his patients. During his free time, Dr Kasey enjoys travelling, DIY up-cycling projects and time off with his family.
Dr Sandhya Nair
Special Interest: Ophthalmology & Internal Medicine
Having had an early interest in medicine and healthcare, Dr Sandhya Nair decided that veterinary medicine was the perfect choice that allowed her to combine a love for animals with her interests. She graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2010 and completed the Postgraduate Ophthalmology programme with the University of Sydney in 2013. Dr Sandhya has a special interest in Internal Medicine and Ophthalmology. She finds that with early diagnosis of eye conditions, vision could be preserved resulting in a happy pet with a greater quality of life.
Dr Sandhya enjoys interacting with clients and is most contented seeing her patient’s health improve, more so if she could motivate her clients to play an active role in the process. With the life expectancy of pets increasing, she hopes to enhance their quality of life in the sunset years with good geriatric care. Dr Sandhya relaxes by travelling, exercising and meeting up with friends in her free time.
