Pocket and exotic pets have specific requirements for preventive healthcare, housing and diet. Caring for a rabbit, guinea pig, or other type of rodents will differ greatly from raising cats and dogs, and owners may need advice on how to meet their unique needs.
During consultation hours, our veterinary team will be able to provide you with nutritional, housing, and general pet care counselling for exotic pets, such as tank requirements for terrapins and dental care for rodents.
Dental disease, gastrointestinal issues, respiratory tract infections, and skin ailments are some of the more common health issues in pocket pets. Our veterinarians are experienced in the identification and management of unusual behaviour and symptoms of diseases. Some examples of common symptoms exotic and pocket pets exhibit are:
